I’m the therapist I wish I had when I was 22 and suicidal.”
— Kate Jackson

Hello, there! My name is Katherine (Kate) Taylor Jackson.

Since 2010, I have provided psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and groups in Kansas City, Missouri.

I graduated from William Jewell College with degrees in Political Science and Philosophy. After a law school detour, I graduated from the University of Missouri Kansas City with a Masters in Counseling and Guidance.

My Missouri Licensed Professional Counselor registration number is 2011030043.

I treat and diagnose individuals with a wide variety of mental health symptoms. My specialty is emotional abuse and neglect.

I am a rare bird in the counseling community because I have received additional training in Modern Psychoanalysis theory and technique through the Eliot Group Institute.

I meet with clients inside my home. My office is in my basement, which is accessed by a back door. It’s very private and has been described as “cozy.” Clients use my favorite couch. Behind us are all my books. Good vibes down there.

I enjoy being a mom to Juliette and a partner to Nick. I’m happiest writing, listening, joking around, and using my imagination.

I really like myself and you can really like yourself too. Corny and true.

Kate has owned and operated Waldo Psychotherapy since 2013.
